Hopi Pueblo artist Brian Smith (First Mesa) created this "Butterfly Maiden" Kachina. The Kachina is 10 1/2" in height by 2 7/8" wide by 2 1/2" deep. The Hopi Butterfly Maiden is a spirit being, or kachina, in Hopi mythology. She pollinates flowers and fields in the spring, and brings rain to the desert. She is also a role model for Hopi girls, teaching them the values of Hopi society. The Hopi butterfly symbol represents change and balance.

Unknow Zuni Pueblo artist created this circa 1960 Channel inlay bolo. The bolo is unsigned (possibly made by Frank Vacit) and is 2 3/4" in height by 1 7/8" at the widest point. The "Hopi Bird" bolo also known as "Thunderbird" features mother-of-pearl, turquoise, red coral and jet channel inlay and has a 36", 4-ply leather strap with a "Bennet Clip" and sterling silver tips.
